Fruit Gushers wasn’t my candy of choice when I was six years old. I just wasn’t a fan of the gushiness and I remember this candy leaving a bad after taste that often made me feel nauseous. I remember the fruit-flavored goo (or juice) that leaked out when the jewel-shaped pod that contained it all leaked out after you pierced the gummy armor with your teeth.

String Thing. I vaguely remember slowly pulling apart the sticky red strips that made a design that I sometimes didn’t care to recognize as a child. Now as I’m doing more research, these designs consisted of spaceships, bicycles, and other common things in a child’s imagination. If you spent a lot of time eating candy as a child, you probably remember this fruity snack!

PLANT BASED HEAT! We visited Shahar Café in Louisville, KY and walked out with a strong desire to return the next time we visited the city. We walked in to see colorful artwork that lined the walls of each side of the café. The yellow couch inside the café gives it a very chill feel.
