Black Owned Restaurants in Louisville, Kentucky #SupportBlackBusinesses

We went down to Louisville, Kentucky on the weekend proceeding the Breonna Taylor verdict to visit my family. We didn’t know what to expect when we landed in Louisville at 9:45pm Friday, especially since a curfew was placed throughout the entire weekend and set to conclude on Monday. Updates from my family and the news projected that the weekend was going to be the worse for riots yet. Especially since the verdict that was made was not favorable amongst MANY people. Through a source, Louisville was expecting rioters equipped with tennis balls filled with lighter fluid and balloons filled with corrosive paint. When the news broke that two LMPD officers were shot on September 23rd, 2020 in downtown Louisville, we were all expecting to have a very bloody weekend.

Things went better than expected.

I was able to spend time with my family, explore parks, and eat great food. With exception of being prevented from running into Meijers at 10pm to buy Apple Jacks, we weren’t too affected by the 9pm curfew. In fact, we made a trek to Shelbyville, KY on the first night in Louisville just to get Waffle House.

Well, to move along, watch our video on black owned restaurants in Louisville, KY inspired by the events above. Trust me, all of the food IS IN FACT, as good as it looks!
